Google Calendar what works and what does not?
As announced this morning I've tested the whole thing now and give a brief overview:
What is it?:
- Create different calendars, and publish
- Release with and without Datails
- Groupware functions like commenting on the appointments
- Prefabricated Holiday Calendar
- XML and iCal import and export
- Reminder for appointments by email, SMS
- Insert dates directly from GMail. (With German text from emails I did not get it yet unfortunately)
What's missing?:
- Offline Sync for calendar like Chandler or Sunbird (read already possible but would still writing very very chic)
- Missing links in the top right of Gmail
The surface looks very tidy and otherwise reminded of the colors and the setting very sides of the Gmail interface.
Overall, a round thing that I can recommend to anyone who has a Gmail account and has no problems with his data resides on Google's servers.
Google Calendar Beta ONLINE
Yes, finally I longed for by privacy advocates as likely as ever cursed. Google Calendar beta is online. With a Gmail account you can log in Calendar and manage their appointments diligently.
You can create multiple calendars and make them separate from each other and the public.
Further details are available after a good test of my hand.
Google and privacy advocates

Sometimes you follow your impression of the almost Datnschützer Google almost as fierce as the American president, the alleged terrorists.
According to a report by heise mobil privacy advocates are again outraged that Google wants to store data from users running applications that may use the free wireless service in the future to display personalized and location-based advertising.
EPIC and EFF are out like it may be the only completely free service for Google wants to save data to improve the quality of its advertising service and thus require more money for an ad can be.
Of course you can worry about whether the data are safe enough for Google, but honestly what Abiet stores because no data on the network? But how many there be than to be official? Still less are then specify how Google even with what these data should be used.
In my opinion, should the data protection more times to make yahoo, msn and their ilk. Because to be honest that I have not read a word they collect and store data, and who believes that they therefore do not save and the verwarten also believes in the man in red with a sack on his back.
